So sorry to hear about this. I am having trouble posting, so I am going to break my answer up into several posts.

Basically....

This isn't sundowning. It is delirium. Get her on a normal day/night cycle. Stay with her. She needs a neuro consult. Ask her oncologist and primary care doctor to come and advocate. She needs PT/OT. Have them teach the family what to do to help. Ask to speak to the GI doctor treating her gastroparesis. Plan? Gastroparesis can be hard to treat, but there are many options! Ask to speak to the charge nurse - what does she advise? Finally, ask for a Palliative care consult, if no one is helping.
