I agree with the other posts. For me eating was extremely difficult as I had pain while eating. Reglan helped move the food. I then subsequently got Creon to help digest food. It still took several months before I could eat more than a spoon of food. I was deemed failure to thrive. I also was hyper sensitive to smells which didnít help and everything tasted like metal. Zinc helped with the metal taste as a deficiency was causing the metal taste. Itís taken 4 years to begin to eat normally by having an appetite and ability to eat without major abdominal pain after.

She clearly is going through a lot mentally and physically. Be supportive and find her the right GI. If she is hearing things like I just donít understand why you donít want to eat itís probably going to shut her down some more.

This disease and itís treatment is brutal. Not everyone gets thru it so easily.

I wish her all the best.
