Sister in law had successful surgery, but is now suffering from malnutrition. Can't or won't eat. Was getting nutrition support through a pic line, but that had to be removed when she became septic. Has a new pic in, but but we've had trouble getting the TPN restarted. Her BMI is down to 15. Her mental status has been off since the surgery. This is so out of character for her. It's like she's given up. The surgery was a success,a very favorable prognosis, but we think we may lose her to to starvation. My brother is at his wits end. He doesn't know how to help her.
