He had a successful Whipple procedure followed by chemo and radiation. He gets scans every 6 months, and have been clear and straightforward to interpret until his most recent scan this week.
We are so very thankful for every clear scan.
His oncologist requested he have an MRI of his pancreas next week due to some 'inflammation' shown on the pancreas in the CT.
I don't have any other information than this.
What could this mean? Acute pancreatitis? How concerned should I be?
He's been feeling good and not experiencing any of the symptoms he had when originally diagnosed.
