Hi - My father (81 years old) had whipple surgery 3+ years ago. On and off chemo for much of the time has managed to keep him going, though certainly hasn't been easy. On Monday, he started feeling ill and finally convinced him to go to hospital. Dark urine, jaundice, chills, etc. Blood test showed elevated white blood cells and an obstruction. CT confirmed fears of recurrence.

Surgery is planned to put in a stent. However it will be a few days before his doctor sees him to discuss treatment options. the wait is very difficult - just looking for a sense of what we can expect the options to be?
