IPMN is a type of tumor that is benign. They can progress into pancreatic cancer. It's considered a precancerous condition. It's hard to know exactly what to advise especially when one doctor says surgery isn't necessary and one is saying yes surgery. Whatever he decides I wish him well and he needs to keep a close eye on it in the future. Hugs
