The fact that her CA19-9 seems to have responded to either the surgery/chemo or both is good. The Medical oncologist will determine how long they feel the standard of care for chemo is in her particular case and should relay the plan to you both. After standard of care has been completed, they may recommend a watch and wait approach, or encourage you to explore clinical trial options. Each patient is different in both how they respond to treatment and their wishes to pursue further treatment options. Prayers for you and your spouse .........
