I am in Madison, WI and getting treated at the Carbone Cancer Center.
I had the genetic testing done for 80 genes. The only variant was of unknown significance, and it was good to be able to share that information with my extended family.
My genetic counselor had me do an extensive genealogy of my extended family to see what occurrences there were of other cancers, including the results of colonoscopies. Again, it was good to share that information with family members, as it found very little cancer in our family and none of the GI tract.
