You asked what I've heard about life expectancy. Our brief meeting in the hospital with the oncologist was more of a "just want to meet you" type of thing. He was very nice, but didn't pull any punches. Perhaps it's her age, too, but he said 5-7 months, maybe as much as a year -- and I THINK (but am not sure) that this was with radiation. He said his cousin died last year from this same thing. He wasn't really trying to go into the details. He said the thing for us to worry about now was general recovery from the surgery and getting her built back up (she's lost about 15 lbs since Aug). so that if she decides on radiology, she'll be in better shape. He just said, "This is a very nasty disease." (No kidding!)
