Hi John, I know this is a bit late (and i haven't been around in years!), but something that works for me, and that you could ask your Dr's about, would be taking a Flintstones Chewable with Iron (the ones in the dark pink-ish box) a couple times a day.

It was recommended to me, by the folks at the site i went to to try donating blood a few years ago--i was anemic 3 times in a row (different months), and was told that tip. My own Dr. okayed it, and i take 1-2 a day. It bumps me up just enough to have energy & not be tired all the time, although i'm not dealing with a pancreatic lump anymore. (Mine was a non-functioning neuroendocrine neoplasm. It always came back as 'inconclusive' when biopsied. I went in for a Whipple in May of '14, and ended up with a Distal + ennucleation instead--after the whole lump was biopsied after surgery, i finally got conclusive results & they determined it was benign.)
