Pnet is a Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumor. It is a rare cancer which forms in the endocrine cells of the pancreas. Most pancreatic cancers form in the exocrine cells. Pnets often grow slowly though my first one was fast growing. The current one is slow growing. I get the chance to try many drugs. Sutent has been around for a long time but my past doctors chose not to use it. It is successful in only 10% of the people who use it. I take it in pill form once a day continuously. I also get an injection once a month of another drug at the Onc's. Sutent has caused my tumor to shrink so I expect to keep taking it for a while. I've been on it now about 6 months.
