The drug I take for my PNET is sutent, but other drugs I have taken warn about grapefruit. You really don't want to take more of a drug than prescribed. I was given too strong of a dose of Sutent at first and it left me unable to walk without falling down, also terrible stomach pains, constipation and other side effects. I did not eat grapefruit. My onc then lowered my Sutent and it worked so well that my tumor has shrunk to about half its size in 5 months.(Side effects are very few.) This is the first time any drug has stopped tumor growth for me. This is the third time I have had this type of cancer. It is inoperable so the surgery that helped in the past could not be done this time.
