I have just been diagnosed after six months of going to different doctors (one of which is at a “pancreatic cancer research hospital” here in AZ). I was basically laughed at or politely dismissed at every appointment. I explained at every appointment not only my symptoms but the fact that my father died of pancreatic cancer. I even paid for a MRI personally in hopes it would turn up something, I askerd for the Ca 19-9 and was repeatdly told “NO” I begged for a EUS and again was told “NO”..... I’m very angry at this point sorry for rambling but my question is, how are we ever going to detect this disease in its early stages if doctors refuse to listen to their patients? I even asked my gastro doctor what’s it going to take? My eyes and skin to go yellow before you will help me? I’m just venting. Thanks
