Yes, this is very common. It can be frustrating. But it can be a blessing in disguise. We need a break during this long road, and maybe you can take advantage of this time of no chemo, no doctor visits and enjoy some family time. Or travel somewhere....

How is she doing right now?

Lung metastases tend to be small and not symptomatic and slow growing, so I wouldn't be very worried about those causing her problems.

Good luck with the trial. Let us know which one you guys join, and how it goes.
