Hi! I just got back from being in Dayton for 6 days. Mom will be 85 the end of this month. She had surgery on Weds. She did not have the Whipple. Her surgeon removed about 1/3 of the pancreas and her spleen. She is making good progress in recovering from her surgery. She will need 4-6 weeks of recovery from the surgery before we begin any further treatment. When my mother called the newspaper to cancel her subscription for a couple of weeks, the lady she talked to on the phone said her mother had surgery for this same thing when she was 88!
