Ask your doctor about the NCI-Match trial. It is exactly for this situation. People with 'solid tumors' who have progressed on recommended treatment. It is a federally funded, free for you trial where they take a sample of the tumor and test it for all of the major gene mutations and then recommend treatments based on the specific mutations within your specific tumor. And they supply the treatment medicines for free. This are very expensive, difficult to get medicines. It is the future of treating cancer. It is worth a shot.

If this was my situation, or my mother's, I would recommend starting to work with a Palliative Care doctor to aggressive treat any symptom bothering me (fatigue, pain, nausea, sleep issues, mood etc...) so that I can live the best life possible....

and join the NCI-Match trial.

Keep us posted.
