3 surgeries in 4 years...whew! I had a distal pancreatectomy in Mar 2006; then a partial hepatectomy in Mar 2008. All my margins & lymph nodes were clear from my distal, but a tumor was seen by octreatide scan a year later. We tried 2 RFAs in 2007 here in Dallas but were not entirely unsuccessful. I am surmising yours is gastrinoma; mine is nonfunctional so far as we know, it doesn't secrete hormones. My surgeon from 2006 & 2008 is also my NET specialist. I was using Dr James Strauss locally for Sandostatin LAR injections and scans, but he retired last year & though I have one of his partners, he's admittedly not an NET expert. Thanks for the communication.
