Sounds like your wife is experiencing what many call 'Whipple Pain'. I believe it is a common experience. It pain is BAD. Hard to breath, cold sweat, can last minutes or sometimes hours. First time I had it I thought I was having a heart attack. Mine began within a few months of surgery. From what I have gathered over the years, the doctors do not know exactly what causes it. Mine got better with time especially after I learned what my triggers are. You can google Whipple Pain for more info. Or better, sign up for the Facebook Group 'Whipple Warriors'. Lots of info. and help available from that group. I hope your wife finds relief from the pain. It is truly awful.
