I appreciate your personal experience.

But it is quite brutal for you to suggest that a patient struggling and losing weight and unable to absorb calories needs to choose between eating sugar and .... Death. That is inappropriate and not proven and is unnecessary for most to follow.

If you have diabetes or reduced glucose tolerance after surgery, you should have a very good endocrinologist helping you. If you don't have diabetes, you should still discuss with your doctors whether starting metformin would be beneficial.

As we all know in this board, we should find the best oncologist, gastroenterologist, primary care doctor we can after surgery, and sometimes a nutritionist is a little helpful. But without randomized, controlled trials and data in humans about these extreme approaches to sugar, they should not be promoted with such harsh words to vulnerable, suffering patients. It is a bit cruel, actually.

I can't tell you how many PC treatments have bitten the dust because no data comes out to support them. Opinions, gut feelings are not data in humans.
