Does anyone have Medicare? was posted 07/15/2017 03:14 pm by Anonymous

I am a 3yr PDAC survivor and I will be receiving Medicare soon. I currently have private insurance which covers all my meds and multiple scans that we as PC patients get. I'm concerned that I will not be able to get the scans I need when the doctor orders them or not be able to get my meds like creon etc. I am researching both the Medicare advantage vs the Medicare with medigap and drug plan. Either way it looks like I'll be paying out of pocket for my meds once I reach that limit. Will anyone speak to experience with Medicare and being a PC patient under constant surveillance and often sick? I don't know if I should skip Medicare and pay the penalty so I can keep my private insurance which is costly but at least I know I'm covered.
