Thanks for sharing CMF. My husband was DX August 2015. He started with Oxaliplatin,5FU/Lv & Irinotecan. It stop working at that point he had SBRT radiation and then Nanoknife surgery in March 2016. Six months later he had mets to his liver. He was put on G/A but after 7 months it stop working. He had low platelet count and his HGB and RBC drop so low he had to have a blood transfusion. He also has bad neuropathy in his feet and hands, swelling in his feet and legs, developed an PVT, had two Paracentesis done. This past Wednesday was his first round of Onivyde, 5FU & LV. Now they want to do this splenic embolization to help the platelet count. Having a low platelet count will never qualify him for any clinical trials which would be the next step. We are waiting for his genetic profile of his liver Bx to determine what mutations he carries. Knowing the mutations will help with targeted clinical trial treatments. My husband is 58 years young.
