Eds, I hope this does not offend in any way, but did you feel compelled to do strenuous exercise so soon after major surgery? Did the doctors encourage it? I ask because I used to jog/run for exercise and I was otherwise an active/fit person. Played competitive softball, did aerobics, etc. But no way I was going to risk injury so soon after surgery. I increased activity as the months went by. I have read of others who wanted to start or restart heavy exercise after Whipple surgery, and just curious about the thoughts behind it. Maybe it was your desire to return as quickly as possible to your normal routine??
