Hello. I had four rounds of Folfirinox at Kaiser, but found the Irinotecan to be too toxic for me, so my oncologist dropped it. I've had seven more rounds of Folfirinox with UCSF medical, but without the Irinotecan. My tumor has shrunk slightly, but I'm also getting a return of the pain I experienced before chemo began.

An oncologist at Johns Hopkins is recommending that I now switch to Gemcitabine plus Abraxane. Has anyone else made the transition from Folfirinox to the other accepted regimen of Gem + Abrax?

The physician's assistant there tells me 'after 11 rounds, the Folfirinox has most likely killed all the cancer cells it's going to kill'. What do you think?

THANKS VERY MUCH, James
