What kind of cyst was your first cyst determined to be? Why did they decide your last cyst required surgery?

I use the criteria from this excellent website for cyst monitoring. It is put together by a guy who was trained at Hopkins, and represents an international consortium of pancreatic cyst experts' recommendations.

Who is doing the monitoring now?

My father has a couple of cysts. We did the lab tests twice a year initially (as recomended on the website), including CA19-9 and CEA. At that time followed the cyst with MRCP, EUS, then MRCP Qyr and now spacing out as cysts are stable. We still check CA19-9 and CEA every year, watch for new symptoms, and will probably space MRCP to every 2 years.
