Hopefully you won't need the drain anymore but if they have to put another one in you it isn't that bad. I had a drain inserted after my whipple because my bile ducts started leaking. They gave me a lot pain meds and then inserted drain while I watched on flat screen. It was a little painful but didn't take long to do. Also pulling out drains isn't to bad but it is unique. It feels like they pulling out your insides with it and it also jus takes a sec. I had several post whipple complications and several hospital stays afterwards but keep your head up because it will get better it just takes time I hope all goes well and God bless
