You can still have a drain placed for 'palliiation' while on hospice. It will make her feel better and THAT is the goal of hospice. Unfortunately, hospice programs often want to save money and will often discourage treatments like this.

But you could ask.

And you could call her prior oncologist/nurse and ask their advice as to whether spy his should be considered.
