Carlton, I would consider getting a referral to a dietician/nutritionist who works with cancer patients to be sure you are getting the most bang for your buck. Also, this person should be able to assess what foods might help with the low iron and related supplements you are taking. You might also ask about enriched liquid drinks such as Boost etc. There are some that do not have sugar as many with PC often have diabetes. The most important thing is to keep letting your doctor know of any side effects and deal with them. The advice to also request a PT evaluation again is important and to request work on your balance as well as strength building. It might be good to ask about using a cane or walking stick if balance out walking seems to be an issue. Some health clubs also have 'supervised exercise' programs as for those who have a heart attack and certainly having had a whipple in a different way might qualify. Sometimes they are run by a hospital. Glad you pushed to get the surgery you needed. Our friend is now starting his 8th year with PC and he has been Stage 4 for three years.
