My husband was diagnosed last year with PC at Thanksgiving with a 2cm tumor. He has a Whipple procedure with 3 3 lymph nodes showing signs of cancer. He received 5 FU with Gemzar, leucoborine and Cpt11. He was cancer free for 2 months. He had a reoccurrence at the site and it was controlled until a month and a half ago where his ca199 levels went to 800 and it metastasized to his liver and stomach. Thoncoligist now says he has 6-12 months and he is on Abraxane and Gemzar. I'm so distraught and have no idea what to do. I want to get a pancreatic specialist oncologist to help me make good decisions on what to do next. I feel as though his oncologist is tapped out of her abilities. Anyone can help?
