First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on 5+ years of disease free state! Second, we all share your anxiety about disease re-emergence. We often wonder about the inflammatory process in relation to disease progression? My husband gets frequent bouts of diverticulitits and we worry that the inflammatory process, which occurs with that, will trigger the 'rogue cells' that are most likely still circulating in his sytem looking for a 'new home' ? Is that based on fact? No, we dont think so. But, with all of the research in regards to inflamation triggering cancer growth, we can certainly understand your concerns and questions. I hope this post will generate some articles to either substantiate or allay our fears and yours. Good luck with the bloodwork and please update us on it ! God Bless.........
