Snap!!! I have type 3C diabetes due to pancreatic surgery (see 'I have type 3C diabetes, what is that all about?' at https://pancreaticcanceraction.org/news/type-3c-diabetes/ ). Yet my endo labeled me as type 2--that is, even when I could no longer control my diabetes with Metformin (1000mg 2X day), diet & exercise and Levemir had to be added to my treatment plan several years after surgery. Anyone else in the same boat? What's your treatment plan? Seems to me that taking diabetes medications that make pancreas work harder will burn out Beta cells faster.
