It sounds like pancreatitis. Nausea/vomiting all day is not common for pancreatic cancer, but it is for pancreatitis. The PET scan result is consistent with pancreatitis. Often people with pancreatitis have pain, and sometimes the pain is severe.

Pancreatitis is not uncommon, and certainly is much more common than pancreatic cancer. The vast majority of people with pancreatitis do not get cancer. It is true that pancreatitis is highly associated with heavy alcohol use but there are other causes, including infections, medications and gall stones.

I would see a gastroenterologist who is an expert in the pancreas.
