I completely agree that she could be ill, and it is not uncommon to have mental illness and physical illness concurrently. It is horrific to think that your physical complaints could be dismissed because of your anxiety, which can have foundation. I have seen that happen.

Unfortunately, some physical problems can also be caused by anxiety and the stress response and hormonal changes it causes. This complicates things.

But while I agree with you that early cirrhosis can be unclear, the symptoms of our Worried Woman still are not consistent with this, while yours were. Thanks goodness you were eventually diagnosed.

I have seen people with nutritional deficiencies and gluten allergies that have symptoms like the OP describes. Sometimes it takes time for the problem to reveal itself. But as we know, pancreatic cancer ..... once it is causing weight loss.... Does not remit. It progresses, with no relief, especially if you are not being treated. This is not our Worried Woman, thank goodness for her.
