My dad is not well. Since Wednesday, he's been in the hospital bed. We were standing him up to get changed and use the bathroom but since Wednesday he's been in the bed. The hospice nurses didn't think he would make it til Friday (2 days from now) but he has kept surprising us. He bounces back, gets a lot of energy. he's been trying to tell us things but his speech is not intelligible. Today though, the nurse and my family and I see a change in him. He has all the signs that the end is near. Through it all though, he is kind, patient, and so thankful. He's the greatest person in this world and I am so sad to see him leaving :( He fought for 21 months, all we wanted was a chance in the fight- we focused on hope, but now all we want is peace and no pain. It's heart breaking and I'm so sorry for anyone who has already been through this stage.
Thank you for caring about my dad.
