Well hello again folks. Today is the 28th of Nov. and I am five days out from having a 'classic' whipple surgery at Hopkins performed by Dr. He and am being discharged probably tomorrow because according to a member of his team I have turned the corner where hospitalization can be as big a detriment as a help. In other their words I'm doing better than expected and so far have no issues. My glucose is all over the place but I can eat solid food, and my body can do the rest. This has been the scariest episode I've ever experienced and I want to thank all of you who helped pull me through. I am staying in the area for a weekly return visit and am then free to go home. Their are no words for what I Brandt to say to those people who offered everything from encouragement to even their own personal time and hospitality if I so needed. Thank you so much. When the D r. explained the technical difficulties of my surgery I simply told him that that is why I came here because I expected his mastery of that expertise. My wife cried, the doctor smiled and I found myself so full I could not say anything else. I have survived a really difficult procedure and a lot of that started here with voicing my concerns and being showered with confidence and enthusiasm and it worked. To Sherga, Anonymous and sims especially thanks.
