He is officially on hospice home care as of Monday. What a major change it has been from Monday until now. On Monday my dad was in extreme pain- he had to cancel his long awaited doctors appointment due to the pain and at that point we knew we needed assistance from hospice and we knew he could no longer tolerate chemo. Now he is very foggy, speech is not making sense, he can barely find the words that he wants to say. He's become incontinent over night, they brought in a hospital bed yesterday and he needed the rescue squad to transport him safely down the stairs (he is 130 lbs but he was so foggy that he was considered a safety concern) This is a whole new chapter. He's staring and seeing things, intermittently responding, confused, sad when he wakes up from a nap and reality hits. I'm just giving him all he love I can. I'm thankful to have 5 days off from work for the holiday. This is unimaginably difficult. In the mean time we are making arrangements and I will be saying my fathers eulogy. This is all just surreal but I will do what I've been doing for the past 20 months and that's just giving love and doing everything I possibly can to make it a little bit easier on him.

Thank you so much for asking about my dad. ML I hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving with your family.
