I had er exploratory surgery for duodenal porforation in Sept. 2014 which was caused by a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor called gastronima. I then had whipple to remove multiple tumors in June 2015. The thought was I could b cured with surgery but they jus found a recurrence on a lymph node in my belly. Now am being referred to medical oncologist from the surgical oncologist and they eat to start targeted hormone therapy Sandostatin. Has anyone ever had a similar experience or had sandostatin. If so how did it effect you or your loved one. Also should I seek second opinion or just go with the flow. I am not eligible for surgery and am 39 years old so am far from ready to give up thank u for your advice in advance
