I was diagnosed with 1B in the tail of the pancreas in October 2007, had distal surgery followed by chemo and radiation. I had a recurrence in August 2015 which was treated and knocked back with FOLFIRINOX. Scan in November 2015 and all scans since have indicated NED. I know it's still in there but I live like it's not...staying active, staying positive and taking very good care of what is left of my digestive tract. I've had nine really good years since I learned I had this bloody cancer and even if it recurs again, there are treatments available now and more being discovered that may knock it back again. Your dad has beaten the odds so far. There is no reason he won't continue to do so. Best wishes to both of you.
