I replied to your messages earlier on this board. I also had an IPMN and had the whipple 3 yrs ago. Had it done at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Surgeon was Dr. Shishir Maithel. I was extremely pleased with him as a surgeon, physician, person. He gave me his cell phone number and when I had a problem with pain med after surgery, I called and he returned my call immediately. He was recommended to me by a surgeon in my hometown that did a residency with him. So glad I chose him. Also very pleased with the post-op care at the hospital. Just letting you know. Atlanta not as far away as Hopkins but not as close as Houston either probably. I live 50 miles north of Atlanta but maybe could help you out some while here. Sherry
