Thank you for all of the information. I have been reading and researching more about this than my own doctorate, and all of the info helps! The doctors took a biopsy of some of the tumors in the liver, pancreas and lymph node for genetic testing...they also took what seemed like a gallon of blood for a ton of tests. They wanted to get her started right away because of her age and health, so she is on FOLFIRINOX: 400 mg/m 2, infusional 5FU 2400 mg/m 2 over 46 h, every 14 days. Once genetic tests come back, they may add other medicines to the infusions. We looked at numerous studies, but the most aggressive standard treatment is what was recommended by both Penn and Thomas Jefferson to try to get ahead of it given her numbers.

I do need to find a group for myself...this emotional wall is tiring...
