I researched everything I could find before my husband had his surgery! But what I have found is that it is all sugar coated info, even the name Whipple (sounds kinda fun)! The facts are like you said its a Beast! Noting you read can prepare you until you or some one you know has this surgery. No I don't regret Bobby having it and saving his life but it hurts and take so much longer than they say to recover. The Doctors even told him he shouldn't be in so much pain so far out from surgery so I'm not sure if something else is wrong but just remember in your research that the reality of it is there is a lot of pain and eating will also never be the same.
