Sounds a lot like mine but didn't say mine extended into main duct. But did have the main duct dilation which really worried the Dr. especially when increased. My EUS FNA showed lots of mucin and the cyst 'filled up' with mucin immediately after removing it during the FNA process. One doc also said that the main duct dilation could be caused by the large amount of mucin coming from the cyst but couldn't be sure of that. I also know that the 2 1/2 years I had the cyst, it was never far from my thoughts and caused anxiety. Just glad it's gone. The surgeon said I was the poster child as to why IPMNs should be removed especially when even a small change is noted. When brought medical student residents around he would tell them the story.
