Thank you so much for the reply and the advice. The fourth biopsy was a needle biopsy and determined adenocarcinoma. It is marginally operable, no metasteses, but badly located by veins and they want to shrink it with chemo in the hopes of making it operable.

I tried to convince them to go to MD Anderson or Johns Hopkins, but they were concerned about the travel and being closer to home, so decided to get treatment in Orlando, which is a couple hours' drive from them. Hopefully this decision will be the right one for them.
