They removed the tumor and he's had chemo once a week, every week since surgery. Started on Abraxane, which resulted in some neuropathy in his feet. They switched him to gemzar and now he's doing good - no side effects.
At some point, I don't remember when, a scan showed a spot on his liver. But recent scans show spot got smaller and everything else is stable. He's also on an experimental drug - I don't know what it is.
He seems to be doing quite well. He recently had some genetic tests done - waiting for results. His sister and mother died of breast cancer. Based on test results they may change his chemo.
I know he's very lucky to be in such good shape after 18 months with this
disease. I guess I'm just looking for some hope here. Is there any chance of
long term survival for him? Anyone have a similar story?
I guess my question is, does anyone know
