Hello, my Dad is 72 and was just diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. He is going to have Whipple surgery in a few weeks. What was recovery like for most of you? Trying to gauge what kind of help and care he will need, whether to hire a nurse, etc. The drs and nurse said when he leaves hospital he will be eating and drinking, walking around, etc. But I know from past experience with other surgeries, things aren't always so simple. Any experience or advice would be appreciated, thanks-
