Background: 64 y/o male diagnosed Type II diabetes ~5 years ago. Otherwise healthy. Work up for unexplained weight loss (25 lbs 3 months) and muscle mass loss. CT with contrast shows symmetrical mass size of lemon on head of pancreas with peri pancreatic enlarged lymph node; indeterminate kidney mass size of an egg; small nodule less than a centimeter on lung. MRI with contrast scheduled for Monday am per CT recommendation. Recent EGD showed gastritis. Colonoscopy no lesions. CEA level 126 and HgbA1C 8.4. All other blood work normal.

Looking for treatment at JHH but where do I begin? I know a biopsy is needed but do I need to select an Oncologist at JHH to coordinate further testing to secure an accurate diagnosis? Or GI Md to perform biopsy? Where do we turn first?? Primary care MD on vacation but covering MD ordered MRI and referral to Oncologist who can't see him till July 5th. That's just too long to wait I think. Help please with feedback.
