This is the OP. Thanks for your comment.

What do you mean they wrote your loved one off? Who was the doctor you would not recommend?

This is a little disheartening to read, especially because we have put a lot of our hope into JH and what they can potentially do for my dad. To turn around and go somewhere else after JH seems like it just wouldn't be possible, especially after how much convincing I had to do to get my dad to agree to travel to Baltimore.

I know there is no clear answer to this, but under what circumstances should we realize that JH isn't the best option and that going to a third place is the best bet? Everything seems so risky because time is of the utmost essence.

By the way, if you don't mind, how did everything work out at MD Anderson?
