To any Specialist listening I have a concern that has not been explain to me and it has me and my partner and son worried. I had a CT scan 18 months ago and I had what they call 'double duct dilation'? I then had an MRCP and was diagnosed with Chronic Pancreatitis I do not get Creon I lost 28 kilo in 6 month then had an upper endoscopy and at the time was told it was gastritis and places on proton inhibitors Things got worse and I wanted answers and was sent for a Barium meal/swallow were they discovered weakening of the oesophagus and apparently my food sits in my gullet for too long with fluid? Apparently it's too complicated to be treated and I am on the right medication? The last thing that done it for us was another GI gave his opinion too but told us things I'd never been told since day one? He drew a picture for me and explained in the picture I had branching of the pancreatic duct on one side and beading? And a word I cannot pronounce (sounds like panchyromea?) shrinking that's all I know. I am now only seeing a GI monthly and It scares me As my grandma had diabetes mialitus and my mother and sister and brother had diabetes type 1 (mother & sister) type 2 brother. Do I need to shout louder given these findings. They have just given me a whole lot of motphine liquid & tablets and pain tablets on top proton inhibitors and left me from one apt to the next. Thank you.
