I returned to work 11 weeks after surgery. Office job, so no real physical efforts required other than walking up and down stairs. Food was a problem at that time, and so mostly, I didn't eat much during the work day. I worked for another six months and decided to stop working. I was strong enough to work, and able to do my job without problems, but still I'm glad I decided to leave the working world, and that it was an option for me. I was diagnosed with diabetes several months later, and that was a rather big challenge with lots of doctors appointments which would have been difficult to manage if still working full time. I was fortunate to have no complications from the surgery which made my return to work a lot easier.
