The real trick is how many enzymes. We were told to start with 3 and go upward from there. Thankfully 3 worked. Your mom should space the enzymes throughout her meal. To take the enzymes before she eats there is nothing to digest, to take them after she eats the meal has already passed. She should begin eating take an enzyme, eat 1/3 of her meal take an enzyme, eat 2/3 of her meal take an enzyme. Each patient is different. Some say 2 enzymes was enough others take MANY more. Hope your mom finds the amount that will make things better for her. Hugs
