we called the pancreas cancer clinic at hopkins and were in to see the doctors within two weeks! They are extremely efficient and well organized there-helped us get our records released, and the consult took two days with a CT scan and blood work on day one, a physical, then tumor board met, and then we met with the team to get their recommendation. My husband will be having the whipple with Dr. Makary on March 24th for pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer. He did 9 months of CAPTEM oral chemotherapy and then stereotactic body radiation a few weeks ago. Our team in Rochester, NY ruled out the Whipple but Hopkins will do it, and we are hopeful that we will get good results. I would recommend a consult at Hopkins-call the nurse manager, Mary, and she will help you. Good luck!
